Just arrived in LA after a boring 12-hour flight. Its mad to think it's a year since I was last here, the amount of stuff that has happening. It feels like I was here a month ago!!

I had a few days at home in Dublin before I flew out here. Always great to see the family and catch up with my friends. Another reason to come home was to meet up with my sponsors and I also had an adidas photo shoot.

One of main sponsors, Sean White (FESP project managers), a great guy, just a genuinely sport enthusiast!

I first met Sean in 2005 and he has continued to support me since, through thick and thin.

I have also been extremely lucky to meet Donal MacNally Jr, owner of Optica in Dublin. Donal has taken care of my eyes since 2005, and well if I cant see where I'm going I cant hardly run there!!!

It's always good to meet these successful people. They have set up their businesses from scratch, and that takes a lot commitment, drive and motivation. They are always really down to earth and know what it takes to succeed!

I suppose it's a lot like an athlete, getting the finger out day-in day-out in order to chase what you believe is your purpose in life!

I was then off to pose in front of the camera for Adidas. It's a good laugh, dressing up in the new kit and thinking you're a useless Irish model pouting in front of the lens!!

Other sports people were there too, Paul Hession, Kelly Proper, Sean Og O Hailpin and Kieran Donaghy to name a few.

That was all the day before I headed off, the evening was spent at home eating my favorite dinner, my mum's beef stew!! Then my mate Mick knocked down and off we went to for drive, Mick loves just driving around, so here brought me on a tour, down by the Aviva Stadium. I left Dublin in 2006 and every time I'm home it seems to have changed!

So as I write this Im fighting the jet lag here in LA. All will be good in a few days and then will hit the training hard, and work on the tan of course.

Nick has just given me my training programme for the next month. Always make a good read, looking for the sessions that are going to hurt!!

No pain, No game!!!
